Denis is a Candidate of Juridical Sciences (scientific supervisor: E.A. Sukhanov, Moscow State University), graduated with honors from the Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy (MSAL) and completed his Master’s degree at the Russian School of Private Law under the President of the Russian Federation.
He is fluent in English and German.
He has significant experience in supporting bankruptcy proceedings of groups of companies in various economic sectors (construction, retail, mining, agriculture, food and consumer goods production, etc.). He has extensive experience in structuring large real estate transactions and legal support for construction, as well as establishing joint ventures for property management (with the participation of Billa, Apollo, real,- companies).
Prior to founding the “Bureau,” he worked in development organizations, retail, and companies specializing in arbitration disputes and bankruptcy. In 2010, he was a member of the board of directors of OJSC “RTM.” He has authored several scientific publications.
Among his projects in bankruptcy and arbitration proceedings:
- Representation of a creditor with claims amounting to 2.3 billion rubles in the bankruptcy proceedings of a large agricultural holding in the Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region (simultaneous bankruptcy of 17 companies; approximately 800 real estate properties were returned to the bankruptcy estate through challenged transactions).
- Representation of a creditor (Sberbank Capital and affiliated companies) with claims exceeding 1.5 billion rubles in the insolvency proceedings of a coal mining company in the Kemerovo Region.
- Representation of a creditor (Sberbank Capital and affiliated companies) with claims exceeding 1.5 billion rubles in the bankruptcy proceedings of a manufacturing company in the Rostov Region.
- Representation of a creditor with claims amounting to 1.6 billion rubles in the bankruptcy proceedings of a large holding company managing shopping centers and supermarket premises in the Novosibirsk and Kemerovo Regions (simultaneous bankruptcy of 7 companies; real estate valued at over 300 million rubles was returned to the bankruptcy estate through challenged transactions).
- Representation of a debtor in a dispute with CRR BV over the recovery of debt under credit notes totaling $127 million (over 20 related ancillary disputes in arbitration courts).
- Representation of a debtor in a dispute with CRR BV over the recovery of debt under credit notes totaling $55 million.
- Representation of a debtor in a dispute with ING Bank over the recovery of a loan debt of $35 million (over 15 ancillary disputes in the ICAC at the RF CCI, courts of general jurisdiction, and arbitration courts; the bank did not obtain satisfaction on its claim).
- Representation of a debtor in a dispute with Alfa Bank over the recovery of a loan debt of $10 million (in the initial dispute, the bank’s claim was dismissed; after a new claim was filed, a restructuring was agreed with the bank).
